How to get just one chick sound?

Postby anttipi » Tue Feb 23, 2010 3:21 pm

I would appreciate some help with my hi-hat settings. I have tried searching the forum, but I can't figure out how to get rid of an unwanted extra chick sound I'm getting. Whatever I try, there is an extra chick somewhere between 40-50 (CC value) when moving the variable pedal slowly downwards. I don't know if this has to do with short/long threshold settings (I have them at their default values of 115/16) or some other settings - or if it's just a "feature" of Megadrum?

This subject is something which has been discussed before.

I've never been totally happy with the handling of the hi-hat in MD. It's good......but could be superb with a bit more tweaking.

I set my short/long chick thresholds to 0&127 which in effect switches off the multiple soft chicks.

I posted this diagram on a previous thread to show the various settings for the pedal....hope it makes things more clear. The settings shown are the defaults.
