Tested with a new cable, I get 0 to 5V on the pot, but it still "quivers" very fast. Constant CC messages whenever the slider is not on the oposites (0 or 5V). My tester is not fast enough to catch the variation, though.

A small (100nF) capacitor between tip and ring reduced the problem by a lot (it's usable now) but not completely. Maybe I have to experiment with other capacitor values, but I'd like to know why the voltage changes so much. Bad pot perhaps?
