Weird contrast problem

Hey,

I encountered a weird problem with my display contrast. I have build the V2.8 using the syntax kit. The screen worked fine until recently. The megadrum still works like it should just the contrast is so unbelievably low you can only see everything very dimly. I tried a other lcd screen of a mate which didnt change anything. Then i tried my screen on his megadrum and it worked fine. I tried turning up the contrast but it doesnt change. I have read the lcd screen problem FAQ but none of those things has something todo with my problem.

Really, none? So, when you adjust the contrast, as described in the LCD troubleshooting guide, the voltage on the pin 3 of the LCD changes between ~0.5V and ~1.5V?
