Sometimes black boxes in LCD and sometimes not !!!!!

good morning,

im using a synthex v2.8 AiO-Board.

since some days the lcd shows a strange behaviour. when i switch the device on it shows black columns. when i switch the device off and on again everything is fine -then i see the menu and it works great.

anybody knows what this means or give me hint in which direction i have to debug ....

Several things come to mind.

1. Check connection between ATmega and the LCD;
2. Look for shorts near the LCD connector on the digital board;
3. Resolder the connector joints;
4. Clean the board from any remains of flux/solder paste.

i have resolder the lcd connectors ...... that was it .....

By the way: i have build a 10 pad edrum in a flightcase with a build in megadrum v2.8. i call this baby (big baby) "megadrum XT". usb powered .... so my band dont need to carry a acoustic drum set...
