KickDrum-Connection Question

greetings....

i want to connect this http://www.thomann.de/de/millenium_e_dr ... ss_pad.htm kickdrum to my megadrum v2.8 kick drum input.
The megadrum has a stereo phone jack input for the kickdrum mono jack.

My question: only one wire of the kickdrum input from the megadrumdevice goes to the pad connector - is that correct????

i thought i need to wires to connect an external drumpad correctly .....

can anybody give me a hint please?

The kick input is mono hence only 1 signal wire is used.
