I will see if it can be implemented. The main obstacle is EEPROM size.

couldn't one just use a larger EEPROM for future firmware additions?

EEPROM size is determined by the chip you use, not the FW. It is set aside memory within the chip.

well then use a chip with a larger EEPROM part :)

Apart from the number of orders I'm dealing with at the moment, I'm busy with making MegaDrumManager, viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1454, ready for use as soon as possible.

Making pad with more zones? :shock: MD doesn't lack in number of channels...
However "velocity controlled output" may be a nice feature in general (4ex:chromatic percussion, efx, etc.)
If you need it now, try "Edrum monitor" between USB midi of MD and your host.
