PIC18F2550 with 20MHz Crystal?

Postby reswin » Mon Jul 06, 2009 5:58 am

Hi, I just want to ask some simple questions.

1) Can I use 20MHz Crystal on PIC18F2550 in Synthex 2.5 PCB.
2) Whether with this I can reduce the latency?

Thanks

PS: Sorry for my bad english

Yes, you can.

It has nothing to do with latency. Are you experiencing bad latency?

No, I haven't finished my MegaDrum, so I haven't test it. I just wondering.
Btw, thanks for your help Dmitri :D

Don't worry too much about latency unless it really becomes a problem. Whether by physical MIDI port or USB, MegaDrum is low latency, which many users can attest to.
