I just took the same trigger and tested it in all of the ports one a time.
What are the settings on these inputs?
How do I know which settings to check in the MDM, by looking at the signals on the device?
Do you use stereo cables?
Yes I believe so. They are balanced TRS Cables
Do you have pads/triggers connected to both channels of the stereo cable or you leave one unconnected?
No just one. How do I go about disabling the other one?

Hopefully, I'm not stating the obvious here, but you'll need to save the settings both on the MD and on your PC as an MDS file.
It 'll all make sense this time next week.

No such thing as obvious with me. I've taught myself the adobe suite and ableton 9, but for some reason this program is not clicking with me. Thanks for the tip, I have just been hitting "Get all" in MDM. Would that basically be the same?

I tend to do my adjustments in MDM then 'send all'. Once I'm happy, in MDM, 'save to slot' and then 'save all' which will put an MDS file on your PC. I think this is what MDM reads when you open it.

From the jacks description in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1392 at the back of the module you know which jack(inputs) you plugged your trigger to, don't you?
In MDM you select the very same inputs.

Do you use stereo cables?

This is the clue. A cable connected to an input without a trigger at the other end serves as an antenna picking up all electromagnetic noise.
You disable an input by setting a Note to 0 on this input. If you do it in MDM make sure you send settings to MegaDrum after any config changes or check 'Synchronized' before making changes.

Seems like you found a bug. Please help me developing/debugging MDM. What has changed in MDM between restarts?

I'm afraid not. Up until now, using MDM seemed like quite straight forward provided you've read Documentation in http://www.megadrum.info/content/megadrum-configuration because MDM is really meant to change all those setting using a PC rather then in MegaDrum itself using Menu.

Not the definitions of each setting, I've read that one. Something that explains simple things like: When I change the "input" setting, is that simply changing the name, or changing the 1/4" input it is drawing from?

Sorry, I didn't get the question.

How do I disable all of the inputs I am not using to help me understand this better?

There is a button in the Pads settings titled 'Disable Others'. It disables all inputs except the inputs of the selected pad.

Really I am just looking for a distinction between "Input", "Note", and "Name".

All these settings are described in http://www.megadrum.info/content/megadrum-configuration . If I missed any, please let me know and I will add a description.

THIS is what I was not understanding. I thought it was just plug into whatever one you fancy and configure from there. I will pick up here in the morning.

Okay after tinkering with the knowledge I gained yesterday, things are making sense now. Plugged in a non stereo cable and changed settings using the mesh head guide post, I have severely reduced the re-triggering problem. However Dmitri, this zero bug is back, now restarting mdm doesn't fix it. I found it alternates each hit between the specified note and 0. In superior drummer it triggers 2 drums alternating (hit->snare hit->tom ect.). I've tried the obvious of running MDM as an administrator and also tried running in windows 7 compatibility mode, but it didn't change anything.

Alternating hits - set 'A note' to the same note as 'note'.
