I did read that ( kinda hard to understand the tech jargon lol ) but I did have it un checked and set low to 20 and still every hit was full once I once I changed anything with the gain (such as lowering it )

it acts like this very sensitive and hot,,no dynamics I even had the option to lower all pad gains and thats with all the gain set to 0

its the weekend and ill have more time to play with it after I get home

im using pintech heads and triggers I was told they do not require the pots ....

Why are you setting HighLevel low? You have to set it higher!

lol that might be the reason why then :) thanks I thought the lvl sets the highest point the drum will sound .. ( honestly I didn't understand the manual) im kinda a simple non techie kinda guy who loves to drum

I did master the td9 though I could set that pretty easy .. this is much harder
thanks

I thought I remember you saying you were using the pintech drums as well .. can you possably upload your config so I have a good starting point?

thanks dmitri

I don't have any specific config for Pintech. Regarding velocity, you can just raise HighLevel until you get the desired dynamic range.

yep that deffinatly was what was wrong.. all is starting to go good cept 1 of my toms (tom 3) when I hit the head it shows as 3rd zone hit in md

any idea why that might be ( its only a 2 trigger head/rim combo )

I have it pluged into top row 9th port

Take a screenshot of MIDI Log when you hit the tom and the screenshot of the settings of this tom.

ok here is the logs not sure what you wanted so I sent you both views ( raw and visual) you will notice that it is set to single piezo it does it even it I switch it to dual or 3 way

which leads me to another question ... how is it I still get head and rim when selected to single piezo anyways ... lol

thanks so far I have all the toms snare and kick configured ... hopfully the cymbals will go as easily :)

You took settings screenshot of a wrong pad. The log shows hits with notes 41 and 42 but the pad settings show notes 38 and 37.

I just had a realization that im doing doing this whole thing wrong.... ( DOH!! )

let me ask you this if I wanted to put a cymbal in input 8 CrashB/9 Crash E (which is stock ) .. where do I physically put it how do I know what port your referring to 8/9 ? I think this is the biggest problem im logically assigning the port but putting the drums physically in the wrong ports (1 drum cant take up 2 ports 8/9 )

another example snare in mega manager says 4/5 but looking at this picture port 4 is the snare but 5 is the ride

OK
Where you, physically, put the jack into the snare socket, that socket is wired for a dual zone pad. So the pad itself will have a head piezo (4 Snare H as shown on your MDM screen) and either a piezo or switch on the rim (5 Snare R as shown on your MDM screen)

Now, the first screen (1 Kick) is only a mono input because that is all it needs to be.

If you use MDM as a guide (1 kick, 2 hi hat, 3 snare etc) I think this matches up the rear panel markings.

I hope this makes things clearer.

The reason it might seem complicated is because MD is very versatile and can be wired many different ways.

koby drums - Triggera krigg/Bix - megadrum - Kontakt........... Samples from all and sundry.
