Good luck man, it should be a great learning experience. Just take your time and have patience. :ugeek:

I've received the kit a week ago, but as a reference I could use a picture of a populated v2.8 board. Some of the parts don't match the list or the print on the PCB. I have a 6.8 Ohm resistor here I don't know what to do with. Capacitors are of different values than the silk print on the PCB. I've got 4k6 resistors instead of the 4k7 ones... Hope it's OK? We need that picture of a populated v2.8 board just to see what's going on. Thanks.

I will post this picture.

But, the 6.8 Ohm resistor and the 4k6 resistors are impossible ! ;)

You read the values with a multimeter ? Or with code color ?

The bigger than the other resistors provided, green with a silver ring, is the inductor, go on the spot labelled "1mH".
is it one which is 6.8 Ohm ?

Please read the FAQ section at the end of this port :

Thanks for the answer. I hoped I can finish populating it today.

So I did read the FAQ and it says that the Inductor is the large resistor. It is silk printed as 1mH on the PCB. I thought it means 1 Mega Ohm. The one I've received is not even close that value and it has different color bands than the one on the picture of v2.7. Mine is Red, Red, Brown, Silver. That's 220 Ohm w/ 10% tolerance. My multimeter could be due for garbage showing 6 ohm, but not even 220 is near 1 Mega Ohm.

The one that my multimeter showed 4k6 is actually 4k7. I checked the color code. So sorry for that.

I basically have the whole board done, just need a confirmation on the Inductor capacitor, whether the 220 ohms is the right one to use? And I need to use the 16MHz crystal with my kit, right?

The inductor is 220uH (micro Henry) and is right to use.
You need to use the 16 MHz crystal with your kit.

Thanks a lot. Until you post a picture, here is mine. Hopefully I didn't screw it up too bad. (I wasn't sure about the orientation of that little IC beside the yellow capacitor. Is it the right way?)
Cheers.

I just noticed that there are two very small holes (contacts) on the PCB, one still visible from the components side just above the row of resistors, and the other one covered by resistors little bit lover... What are they? Do they need to be connected? :?

They don't need to be connected.
They are links between the two sides.

I built this PCB to test the new version.

Is it that someone would be interested by this PCB ?

Is this still available? If so, how much would it cost?
