i just bought the yamaha tp100 3 zone pad.
i use it for snare and I got all three zone with a good responce (maybe i must improve the dynamics of sidestick)
I have a question about the red pot on the pad.
With yamaha brain, it changes the tune of the sample.
I saw that it sends aftertouch data.How i can use that to change any parameter of my Addictive drums? there is a way to improve megadrum firmware to support this pot? i use cubase on win and logic on mac.

To see what can be done about it I need to know what electrical signal the pad produces when you turn this red knob.

If it sends MIDI signal over its output, I don't think it can be used directly. It will require additional electronic circuit to split hit signals and MIDI signals.
On the other hand, if it doesn't use a power supply how can it send MIDI signals?
If the knob doesn't use MIDI but some other type of signal, the it will require an oscilloscope to analyse.
I'm confused.

As names said, the first is with only one "tick" to the right with the pot.
The second is 5 right and 5 left ticks.
I think that megadrum convert that signal in this aftertouch...i really donnow.

Looks like it is a rotary encoder shortening outputs to ground and so it is interpreted as chokes by MegaDrum. You really will need an oscilloscope to read signals on both of the pad's outputs to understand what it does.

Until MegaDrum processes these signals properly, there is no way any software will be able to interpret them. When, and if, this rotary control is supported, it will be implemented as either MIDI Control Change or MIDI Program Change. For now you will have to live with just 3 zones this pad provides and do all sound changes (e.g. pitch) in software, just as for ordinary pads.
