activity LED problem

Hello,
AFAIK normally activity LED should blink at startup and then should stay off until some MIDI activity.
When I've built my MD and program ATmega, everything was as it should be. When I was programming another ATmega there was some problem with programming cable, so when I've connected it to my MD to program MCU there was an error message. When I've fixed this cable and reprogram MCU again, my LED is staying on from start until first MIDI message. What is the reason for this situation?

No, only digital board connected to PC (without analog board).

Without a pedal connected with the default settings MegaDrum may send MIDI data for the pedal all the time due to small voltage changes on the input.

LED stays on, but there are no midi data at the output. Besides this everything is working fine.

Then I don't know why it stays on.

From my observations:
it depends only from MCU, when I've changed to another then the LED blinks and stays off. On ATmega with problem LED stays on for approx 30 seconds and then also gets off.
