Megadrum-Channel-Concept

Postby ArnoNym » Wed Oct 13, 2010 3:21 pm

hi everybody,

i just finished my synthex v2.8 PCB.
now i start to configure my megadrum and i have one question:

1. is it possible to rename the channels so i can use my own configuration in my individual setup?

2. is one channel one mono piezo input?

3. one piezo has two wires means that i have tu use 2 channels?

the concept is a little bit confusing for me to configure it well ....

thany for some hints...

I will answer as best I know how as I understand your questions:

1. No, you can't rename the channels

2. Each input except the kick is a stereo input which means it can use two piezos or one piezo and a switch. You can use just one piezo if you want, but you will be using just the tip and sleeve or the ring and sleeve for your piezo. These can also be made into two mono pads, but I believe you will still have to access them as one channel on the menu (not positive on that).

3. No, one wire goes to the sleeve (ground) and the other wire will go to either the tip or ring. That will be a mono piezo using only half of a "channel".
