I have a new 56input MD assembled by dmitri and I noticed that when I hit my snare rather hard then sometimes a false trigger is detected on the next input. I unplugged the ride cymbal from that input and still I get triggers there when I hit the snare hard (and it's on a single snare stand btw, so no XTalk).
What can that be? wrong wiring?

Electrical crosstalk from a very strong piezo signal. Raise XTalk level on both inputs.

Have XTalk set to 7 an both inputs (including rim/edge) and still get the same problem.
Had my snare in a different single XTalk-Group cause I thought it would make sense with a single snare stand - after setting the snare input to the same XTalk-Group as the Ride-Cymbal (and the rest) it worked.
So were my thoughts wrong that it'd be good to have single stands in a different XTalk-Group?

Pads/cymbals not mechanically linked should be placed in separate XTalk groups unless there is electromagnetic crosstalk due to very strong signals from piezos (hot pads?).

What would be the exact definiton of a "hot pad"? Like what values have to reach which level?

If with the HiLvlAuto set to Yes and lowest gain levels you get HighLevel above 900, then the pad is "hot".

With standard settings I have been using (HighLevel Auto On and Gain 4) I have a HighLevel of 224 on the head of the snare and 152 on the rim, so I guess this snare (12" DrumTec) shouldn't be considered too hot, right? Just curious where the XTalk comes from...

No, it is not "hot".

1. What is the Threshold on the Ride input?
2. Do you get the same crosstalk if you use these two pads in other two inputs with the same settings?

I had the same issue. My snare drove the hat and the ride using the "standard" channels. I tryed rising xtalk level, but i've been missing simultaneous strokes (mostly hat+snare).
Then i connected the hat to ch26/27 and ride to ch28/29 with same settings and no electrical crosstalk with xtalklvl set to 0 or 1.
My cymbals are from yamaha (very cool compared to the snare) so i thought it was better to connect them to another MUX. And i was right.
