adding macro knobs
Posted: Sun Feb 13, 2011 5:42 amanyone know how macro knob encoders could be part of the megadum design in the interest of having some knobs on my controller device that could control the macro controls in Ableton. -Z

Posted: Mon Feb 14, 2011 3:26 pmI understand now how megadrum could be used to do this..... via a pair of switches that bank up or down a programmed limit value. There is no clicking encoder out there that could function the same was as a pair of switches? -Z

I got it from Digi-Key (part number E3G0603N-2-ND) for $32 (USD).
Now they want $47.70, see link:

I know this is overkill, however it might point you in the right direction if you really wish to use a rotary switch.
