Hello,
I have just bought the Megadrum with 56 inputs and I am trying for the first time the upgrade process.

I have tried the process with the mdfwupdate and the MDM, both withou success.

The firmware i am trying to use is the megadrum1284_56_20110513, I tried with older version with no success too.

I put the speed of the bootloader in 20mhz.

With the mdfwupdate i got crc error and with the MDM i got Megadrum is not responding, and at this time the megadrum goes to the startup screen, getting out of the update screen.

Follow the images of both errors.

Do you press the Down button in the bootloader after you selected the speed?

I just noticed that you are trying to load Atmega1284 firmware while your MegaDrum is Atmega644 based. You should be using megadrum644_* firmware files.

Now it worked.
But for the price (200GPB) I thought it should come with the Atmega1284. Because of that I was trying to upgrade with this firmware.

Atmega1284 was introduced only after I sent the module to you.

I get the same errors like "schardosin". I got the medadrum in February 2010 from you. It is one with 56 inputs. Now I tried the newest firmwarefiles and it didn't work. I tried it with Atmega644 and 1284 File... what i can do wrong?
Forgot to say: When i press the Down Button Megadrum says: "Send Sysex Now" and not "UpdatetoPc"

Please could you help me?

In the topic where you downloaded the latest firmware it says:

Don't try to load this firmware into MegaDrum with a non-protected bootloader, it won't work!!
