I'm having LCD issues. What should I do?

Hi Dmitri,
I've made all in one PCB Megadrum 32 v2.7 inputs, I use a 20MHz Crystall ATmega32 and I've downloaded the firmware with the file ATMega32_20_32_20100516, but I get my LCD does not show up Main screen, no VU meters, only the LED backlight, whether firmware I enter the wrong or who do not support my LCD, I use LMB162A 2x16 Char LCD type.
My Question:
1. Is the firmware ATMega32_20_32_20100516 or Megadrum, do not support the LCD type LMB162A??
2. Do i have to use the LCD with HD44780 driver? what type of LCD???

I will show up on forum if my MD have completed...

I has repeatedly for read FAQ about problem with LCD but in there just call HD44780 compatible for megadrum, but don't tell about equivalent of other LCD??
I have bought LCD 16x2 HD44780 but when i come at home and tested the LCD with firmware, LCD can't show up main screen, and then i check type of LCD, they are not HD44780. I think the seller wrong give me the LCD, the seller give me LMB162A. i check up LMB162A use KS0066 driver, and i check on google LCD with driver HD44780 is LCD M1632 2x16 Char...
i just ask with you for ensure,

Most of all 16x2 characters LCDs are HD44780 compatible. They may have different names. Most likely your LMB162A is also HD44780 compatible.

Yes, MegaDrum requires a special LCD: an HD44780 compatible LCD.

Again, an LCD must be HD44780 compatible and it doesn't matter how a particular manufacturer (hundreds of them) likes to call it.
