Am I just being dim here. I can see a way of working this on MD, but as far as MDM is concerned, I guess I save another .mds file and then send all? I'm confused

Just trying to understand how I should be using this and how the ram is set out.

1. On MD, there is config save and drumap save. Can I load config 1 with drumap 2?
2. On MDM there is config save 1 How do I save to config 2?

Once I have my pad set up done I would only need to change note(s) and channel - maybe curve.
Whats the easiest way to duplicate?

You can. First you load Config 1 and then load Drum Map 2.

It is not possible to do from MDM. You can do it in MegaDrum itself - first send a config from MDM to MegaDrum and then in MegaDrum you save the config to any slot.

You save a config in slot 1, then save one set of notes/channels/curves in Drum Map 2, then save another set of notes/channels/curves in Drum Map 3 and so on. When you need to change notes you just load Drum Map 2 or 3 or 4 and so on.

Thank you Dmitri
Can you confirm exactly what is in the drumap info?
What would be the best way to step through these? Would adding a footswitch option to MD allow a fast loading of drumaps?

A Drum Map saves all Notes, Channels and Curves. About quick switching between Drum Maps see 'Quick Access' in http://www.megadrum.info/content/miscellaneous-settings
