With the support for up to 56+ triggers, Megadrum has achieved an incredible level of power. It now needs to embody sophistication. If you are wondering what I mean by that, go the the Alternate Mode website and download the manual for DrumKat 3.8 or 4.0 Turbo. From a pure functionality perspective, it is probably the most capable drum trigger system in the marketplace and has been for years (3.8 has been around for about 5 years now). It is far more capable than their own trapkat and malletkat, and makes the other commerical vendors look like playtoys. I for one, would certainly trade off triggers for capability. 32 triggers and a feature set like drumkat would be an absolutely killer MegaDrum !! Alternate Mode's problem is that there is all this capability, and that without a PC based editor, it is a PITA to use.
