I think MCT is *jolly* important to megadrum because I don't think a dedicated hardware unit can ever have a good user interface without knobs for each parameter setting - did anyone ever produce a mixing desk with buttons? Can you tell 80's synth' sounds by how many times those dick heads managed to tap their knobs to deviate from the built in preset sounds...

Why not ust set up another Google docs site.

I'm happy to chip in, by the way! Currently still working on the Mac MIDI stuff but at glacial speed  I think a branch seems like a good idea.

Do you know how to do that in Google Code. I have been searching for it but no way.

Maybe using svn commands?

Why not set up a new project with a new name.

So what's cooking for MCT. Latest news? Any Google Code up to look at?
I don't know if I can contribute that much by coding but I can certainly help with graphics if that's necessary. And it will be very interesting to follow this process when it starts.

Ey dudes, I enter again here to this post to say I am really really sorry. Because I haven't paid much attention to the project for quite a long.

A lot of things are happening to me the last 3 or 4 months.

For all of you who want to know. I left my job as a mobile developer in Amsterdam, to take another (apparently) better job in Barcelona (also as mobile developer). I moved back to Spain for that 2 months ago. The job turned out to be a bit disappointing and I was not happy there so both the boss and me agreed to finish the contract. Now I am searching for another job as a software engineer in Barcelona. The fact that there are a lot of different offers out there, makes my searching more comforting as I know sooner or later I will find a job where I am happy.

So, to sum it up, lots of changes in my life, moving from place to place all the time. I feel very motivated to start this new MCT project, but first I need to find my place in this new city to be able to relax and put some time in this hobby I have that is programming and DIY stuff.

See you soon

Sorry to hear about your problems elrules, but I'm also glad that you're motivated to keep developing MCT. You obviously got talent so I have no doubt about your future in Barcelona ;)
It's a very nice place btw.

Please tell us when you're ready to get going 8-)

v1.83 can send too many bytes to MegaDrum - I mean: after certain operations it will send the expected data followed by extra junk bytes (the transmission size is larger than expected). I have observed this with non SysEx (ie firmware) data.

I was afraid something like that was happening. I think we found that out while trying to find a solution to Mac version.

By the way, yesterday I said YES to a really good job offer, better than the one I had before. So, in about a week I will be back to work again. I will be in charge of developing a Blackberry app on my own. It will be kind of a first test of my skills.

I will post soon how it is going
