I want my edrum arrangement to double as a controller for melodic parts in my compositions. For example, if I wanted to play a xylophone, i would use my edrums to record it. I am using Logic Pro and I want to be sure of how exactly my kit will be mapped when I load a sound into the EXS 24 sampler

I don't know how exactly it is done in Logic but in general it will look like this.
1. You plug MegaDrum into your PC.
2. In your software you create a track where you assign MegaDrum as MIDI input and then assign MIDI output to either built in hardware MIDI output(e.g. built-in sound card MIDI output) or to a software sampler and in this MIDI output/software sampler choose xylophone as an instrument for this track.
