BFD2

So... I have a new shiny Megadrum, and I've got Windows XP working again after an attempt to install OSX86... tonight I shall be trying to get Megadrum working w/ BFD2... but I'm not sure which is the best way to start - create a new map in BFD2 for the Megadrum, or use the default map and set Megadrum up to it...

Anyone that has BFD2 working with Megadrum can point me in the right direction to start?

I don't have BFD but MegaDrum has plenty slots for user configurable drum maps so I'd say you can at least configure MegaDrum to use a default BFD drum map.

I've also had the chance to try out BFD2 together with my Megadrum module at a friend's house - it's very nice library with extremely realistic sounds. So, your question was if you should map Megadrum to BFD or vice versa. I would say: ..Who cares? 8-) The note mapping function of BFD2 is so easy and fast to use (you hit a drum and then drag a sound file to the lit up note on the keyboard view) that I did the mapping in BFD2 and so kept my Addictive Drums keymap in the same MD slot still working- But in the end it doesn't matter which way you go, both your software (BFD2) and hardware (MD) are extremely flexible, which is cool. With other samplers (Addictive, EZ) the notes are fixed so the only way would be to map Megadrum to it.

I'm having a really hard time setting this up... For example, if I have nothing but the snare and kick plugged in, and have the Xtalk set all the way up to 3, they're still triggering each other like mad :(

Also, I have a http://www.hartdynamics.com/products/epedal/index.html#EPII hi-hat controller... would I set that to hi or low impedance, and foot or continuous control?

You need to raise Thresholds or lower Gains for these channels
