Installing Megadrum manager on Mac OS X

Hello from Tokyo!

This is a Mac on 10.7.5.

mdm.jnlp loads but that needs the internet each time it launches. Maybe that's the best option for me?

If I want the application offline is there anyone who can help walk me through setup?
I tried megadrum-manger-installer.pkg, it says "cannot be installed on this computer".

If you installed it with mdm.jnlp there must be a MegaDrum Manager app installed in Applications. Internet is only needed for automatic checking for newer version and it should start without Internet connection.
If it didn't create a MegaDrum Manager app in Applications, open Java Control Panel and in General->Temporary Internet Files->View select MegaDrum Manager and click Run.
You can also donwload MegaDrumManager.signed.jar directly as advised in viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1504 and then you can run it by double clicking.

Thanks Dmitri. But maybe I spoke too soon. Last night I hadn't actually plugged in the Megadrum yet.

Today I successfully updated to the newest firmware, which works fine. But, MDM is stuck at MIDI init error.
I launched via the temp file, tried the signed jar too, but I get the same MIDI init error. I select MIDI port 1 for in and out and have no other applications running.

Ideas?

Paul

This indicates that mmj library is not installed. With mmj library installed, MegaDrum MIDI ports names will have "MegaDrum" in them and not just "MIDI port 1".

Btw, I guess you know you can upgrade to OS X 10.9 and 10.10 for free.

Oh man, I feel dumb for missing that step. Thanks again Dmitri!

Update, after downloading mmj, Lion (10.7.5) works beautifully.
I even got that signed jar to work on my Snow Leopard (10.6.2) Macbook Pro with Mandolane. Pretty happy now.
