ok, I tried that, but nothing happens. I set the output buffer size to 60000, correctly selected megadrum device, loaded the correct sysex file, booted megadrum before starting MIDI-OX, left the clock at 16 mhz and pressed down. Then I tried to send the sysex file, but nothing happened.
I tried to close MIDI-OX but it is stuck in "closing MIDI devices" now.

1) started megadrum, left key pressed, entered the bootloader. clock @16mhz. pressed down, display shows: send sysex now.
2) started midi-ox, changed output buffersize to 60000, selected megadrum usb as outputdevice.
3) loaded sysex file, sended sysex file, waited 2 minutes, nothing happend
4) closed midi-ox, but it still shows the dialog: Midi-Ox is exiting, closing midi devices ..., please wait while midi-ox exits
thats it, I hope it helps

Are you using Windows XP?

I'm using vista - until I tried to update the firmware, I had no problems with windows recognizing megadrum. I could trigger samples without any problems. On windows xp, it's the same problem (just booted my other computer with xp).

You can't bugger up the PIC usb code...
On the XP box:-
+ Switch off the PC.
+ Switch off the Megadrum.
+ Unplug the Megadrum from the PC.
+ Switch on the PC.
+ Click on Start->Run and type
devmgmt.msc
+ Open the 'Sound, Video and game controllers' branch.
Now watch the list as you plug in the Brain again.
Does anything new appear?
