Trigger designs?

(Don't know if this is the right forum. This isn't directly MD hardware related either...)

So, my question is: what kind of trigger designs have you found that work best with MD? Is there a difference? I read at vdrums.com, for example, that cone works better with Roland and reflection plate with Alesis.

Is there something similar with MegaDrum? Any preferences...?
