Anything at least distantly related to MegaDrum

I must say these are very strange signals:
1. Half waves are very short for a mesh type pad. They are typically 2-4ms.
2. The signals are very irregular. They really should look like more or less as a decaying sine signal.

Are you sure you measured the signal correctly, i.e. on the input? If yes, then there is definitely something wrong. Try to get a scope reading on unconnected pad. Be careful not to hit too hard since unloaded (unconnected) piezo can produce very high voltage and damaged the sound card input.

Yes, I recorded it through mic port on my laptop ...
This time I recorded it through mic/instrument port on my soundcard.

How does this look like?

It looks like the mic input is overloaded. Try to read the signal on the mic input over a trim pot and adjust the trim pot until you read the full amplitude in the scope.

It's still clipped at the peaks. You need to attenuate it more.

What happened to the signal, it is all in steps? The previous signal was almost good, you just needed to attenuate it a bit more or hit a just bit lighter.
