Can you get the wave form to fit +-0.22 amplitude range as in http://www.megadrum.info/forums/viewtop ... 618#p23618 so that the distortion due to sampling is minimal and without clipping?

Seems like I can't. Whatever I do (decrease/increase hit weight and mic level) it gets clipped at +-0.22
Or, it doesn`t get to +-0.22, instead it ends at +-0.18 or so (not clipped).
What do you suggest?

+-0.18 will be fine (but not +-0.018).

Judging by the signal positional sensing should work fine at least with PositionalLvl 1 and 2.

1. With PositionalLvl 1 or 2 and average strength hits do "raw" values vary between centre and edge?
2. Did you try it only on the snare input? If not, can you try it on another input with a precision rectifier (inputs 6, 8, 10 or 12)?
3. Are you sure you connected the addon board correctly?
4. Did you solder the wire jump on the main board?

OK, I just tried PS on tom2 - 12". I wasn`t interested in having PS on toms, so I didn`t try it as of yet.
It works there. Will need a bit of tweaking to make it 100% correct, but it definitely works there!
I didn`t mention I`m using other piezos for toms. They all have the other piezo with quartz cone, and the snare has quartz's both cone and piezo.

I'd suggest to test the snare in one of the tom's inputs to see if PS is not working on the snare input or with the snare itself.

HI! Off topic...but still PS.

I tried my Roland CY-15R which supports PS on the the bow piezo part of the cymbal.
I am using it on input 22 for the CY-15R.
PS level = 1, PS low = 1, PS high = 8 And min scan at 50...
And it works actually quite well!!

Everson - Sounds strange...I am using the Quartz 35 mm + cone (on harness) in my snare(PS Level 2, Low 12, High 34 on input 4)...and it is perfect from a PS viewpoint. Hope you find the problem!

Dmitri - I saved a file yesterday with my MD settings and when opening it today, it refuses to read the PS values. (But it is stated in the mdm file using notepad)...Could you just verify if you are able to read back PS settings in MDM ver 20130211?

Best Regards

Anders
