Building a simple 2 drumpad to midi converter

I have an Akai MPC1000. I also have two Koby drum pads (http://www.adcdrums.co.uk/prodtype.asp? ... istory=cat). I'd like to build a simple circuit to convert the outputs from the pads to midi signals so I can use them with my MPC. But I really have no idea where to start. I have a live snare and cymbals, so I was thinking to combine these with the pads (set as a kick and a tom), so I can have a smaller live kit.
Anyone got any ideas what's the easiest solution?
