				hihat sound when using kick

Anyone ever have this problem?? When I use the kick drum the hihat makes a closed sound.
I tried remapping the bass drum but it still happens. I also tried isolating the hihat because I thought it might be cross talk--not the case. Does anyone have any suggestions?
I did just finish rewiring my hihat... I've observed that when its unplugged (hihat input not the controller) the bass drum works correctly. Did I wire something wrong? The odd thing is the hihat works great.
I'm using Superior Drummer, with mac.
All my pads are diy (dual zone) and I'm using a yamaha pcy135 as the hihat and the controller is a hall sensor type.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!! Let me know if I can provide any further information.

By "closed" sound do you mean a chick or a closed hihat cymbal bow/edge/bell hit?

A shot in the dark, have you got 'send triggered in' ticked?

dmitri: I believe its the closed hihat sound that I hear but I'll confirm this.
airflamesred: I have "TriggeredInCC" selected. What is "send triggered in" or are they the same?

It's the same. See TriggeredInCC in
http://www.megadrum.info/content/miscellaneous-settingsIt shouldn't be enabled during normal playing.

Yep, that was it. Why does triggerInCC enabled do this though? Isn't its function to bring up the current pads settings in MDM? I tried out a yamaha dtx502 which had the same function but it didn't give me the hihat/bass drum issue. Obviously there is something I'm not understanding.

I don't quite understand what the problem is when triggerInCC is enabled it is just a temp helper during initial setting up and should be disabled after that.

The triggerin sends a cc message (4 I think) which is the same as the hat chick. You can see it on the midi log.
It fooled me for a couple of days as it was performing a keyswitch on a certain library I was using.

I think the cctriggerin function in is using cc:1
Keep it off...unless your are seeking for errors and don't know which pad which generates the error...then the cctriggerin could be used to determine where the error comes from.
