I haven't tried it with windows but as far as I know it works ok. I think it requires installation of the Jack audio server but the installation of Hydrogen itself guides you through the process and tells you how to configure it.
If it ain't broken... fix it until it is.

I know this might sound like a studip question, but I have no Idea how to setup Cubase to use as a drum sampler with megadrum, can I get som advice??

My advice is NOT to mess with something so professional (probably with a stiff learning curve) like Cubase, just to watch Megadrum working. Did you try Hydrogen? Also, these is Toontrack's EZ Drummer. It's quite affordable and really simple. You will need Toontrack's SOLO as a host application which is free.

Yes, it will work but you may have high latency with it. ASIO4ALL may help to reduce the latency.

Thanks Dmitri, I intalled the driver.
But now I am confused alot, I have now realised that I need to have a "Virtual serial port" installed, and the ways it get explained on here is very confusing. Can you shed some light on that subject?
First of all the AVR part, do I need a seperate programmer??
Then the Roland driver, do I need that????
I was under the impression that it was a plug and play device?

You don't need any "Virtual" or Roland drivers. It is a USB MIDI Compliant and all required drivers come with all modern OSs. Once plugged in it is ready to be used by any MIDI aware software.
