I want you to take a look to the redesigned GUI I have prepared:
- It is 1005x646 pixels
- It has a toolbar with all the quick access buttons to load/save configs
- It has a small non-detailed midi activity log (to view a full detailed midi log press the button)
- There is a small panel in the Pad panel to graphically show real-time how edited parameters may affect the triggering

I am going to start all my work based on this new GUI. Any comments will be appreciated.

Looks great, man.

One thing, though - how about live editing? Maybe as a mode to be selected from the top menu?

Do you refer to this feature?
+ Include an option (enable/disable) to send parameter changes as soon as the mouse button is released from the control. (Also if feasible, an Undo button)

If so, it is already in the list ;)

By the way, is anyone using the NimROD, InfoNode, or Lipstik look&feels? I don't like them too much, I would consider to remove them and only leave the metal-style themes (all Plastic's and Metal)...

Seems like you could likely clean up the GUI significantly but making the HH PEDAL just another item in the PADS list. When you select it, it redraws the list of options on the right.

I realize it's not technically a pad. I'm just suggesting a simplification to the GUI. Then you don't need separate screen real estate for the pedal, separate pedal to/from file/md, etc. There's also been some minor discussion of adding support for additional pedals. If that support ever finds it's way into MD putting pedals in the PADS list would be a little forward thinking in that regard as well, as additional pedals can simply be added to the PADS list.

That looks really nice. I especially like the graph at the bottom. It is nice to know how your actions will affect the triggering when you are working late at night and the brain isn't up to the task.

The Send to Whatever stuff at the top could use a vertical separator between sections though. I like having it all in one place, but they all sort of run together.

Ooops. My bad. Sorry. But yes, that is precisely what I had in mind.

___ * Illustrate the trigger settings pictorially (window that shows what you are changing, and how it affects the triggering)
___ * Include a Wizard to configure each pad, with explanations of each parameter

Along this line, maybe add presets for various pads and cymbals? I suppose those users who have found settings that work well with their triggers could contribute to this.

I will add this one to the list of requests.

Maybe it could be a good idea to open a thread for people to post optimal settings for various pads/cymbals

God, yes... *sigh* I'm starting to get really frustrated with my cymbals. Having a starting point would sure be nice.

You could also gain some room by losing the set all pads boxes. Keep the buttons but just make whatever value is in the head section the value for all pads when pressing the button.
