Been busy with painting. Going to need a lot of lacquer if i'm going to get a completely flat finish. But it's not bad for the first time i've tried anything like this.

Also cut out the back panel so i'll be able to get started on cutting the holes for midi, led, lcd screen, keyboard etc and wire them up

Thanks. Cut out all the holes for sockets today.

Didn't quite leave enough space for the 1/4" jacks so i'm going to have to cut some more of the inside out of the wood. Same for two of the screws on the midi sockets. other than that it's looking good.

Looking awesome man! It needs a nice white logo to set it off though. Maybe you should have a contest here to see who can come up with the best one! How does it trigger?

haven't wired it up yet, just spent all last night seating the neoprene for the triggers and attaching them all.

Tried the triggers when i was making prototypes and it's crazy sensitive. Hopefully each trigger will be isolated enough by the foam and i won't need to be messing around with too many settings though. Should be doing the wiring tommorow, may post a video but don't expect any awesome playing :p it feels realy wierd trying to do two different rhytms with one hand. But then it felt wierd doing two rhythms with each side of my body on the drums, it'll just take some practice.

Made a new addition to my design. I was originaly going to go with a foot pedal to control the hi hat and plug it in via the jacks at the same end as the midi. I'm still keeping that wired up but i'm also going to have a linear variable resistor on the back that i can easily change with my thumb.

will there be any problems with wiring up both the jack to plug in a pedal and this slide? I'm guessing the pedal will provide different values so i'll need different setting for each and also have to keep the slide no 0 resistance when i'm using the pedal?
