Hi

I see in more forum the reverse of polarity of head piezo and rim piezo, on megadrum how to connect the female jack?

Gnd in all connectors to sleeve, and on the tip and ring what connect?

Is this a pad wiring question?

Hello, no no..

Is for the connection of female jack on megadrum.( i don't have the imput kit, i will try to make DIY)

For example, "kick" is mono trigger and connect sleeve and tip? or sleeve and ring?

For dual output trigger what should be connected before and after? For example, on snare, rim piezo and head piezo , which is connected to tip and ring on that? I have seen many diagrams showing connections piezo pads but not the trigger to midi :oops:

Did you assemble MegaDrum yourself or did you use a Synthex kit? I'm not sure if the schematics differ in this regard, but maybe you could make sense of the original inputs diagram (can be found here: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=266).

A general rule is that ground is always connected to sleeve, and channels go to tip and ring. In case of the mono kick input connect ground to sleeve and signal wire to tip. Hope that's the answer you've been looking for.

Hi

thanks for the reply!

I have buyed the synthex kit but not the input kit.

i dont know how is connect?

The GND in all sleeve, and the pin out of megadrum are:

1 - GND
2 - HiHat controller High impedance input
3 - HiHat controller Power source
4 - HiHat controller Low impedance input
5 - Kick
6 - NC
7 - HiHat Bow
8 - HiHat Edge
9 - Snare Head
10 - Snare Rim

etc etc....

In one stereo jack I have the ability to transmit two signals, right? but i don't know what go to tip and to ring.

Is correct this?

1 - GND --------------------------------------------> to all sleeve jack
2 - HiHat controller High impedance input
3 - HiHat controller Power source
4 - HiHat controller Low impedance input
5 - Kick--------------------------------------------> to tip ( and gnd to sleeve )

input number 5 this for mono jack

6 - NC
7 - HiHat Bow-------------------------------------> to tip ( and gnd to sleeve )
8 - HiHat Edge------------------------------------> to sleeve ( and gnd to sleeve )

input number 7-8 for first stereo jack

9 - Snare Head------------------------------------> to tip ( and gnd to sleeve )
10 - Snare Rim------------------------------------> to sleeve ( and gnd to sleeve )

input number 9-10 for second stereo jack

11 - Ride Bow-------------------------------------> to tip ( and gnd to sleeve )
12 - Ride Edge------------------------------------> to sleeve ( and gnd to sleeve )

input number 11-12 for the third stereo jack

Is correct?

Sorry for my english :oops:

Head/bow inputs go to tip, rim/edge go to ring. I believe there is a single ground connection on the board — connect it to all sleeve terminals on the stereo jacks (e.g. use wires to connect sleeve terminals together).
