getting started w MDM

I"m very new to MD and MDM and am missing something simple I believe to get MDM to send configs to MD....I still have ????????? in my Firmware version window. what I am I doing wrong.....are there any simple setup instructions anywhere? -Z

Hi nigelfelony,

I had the same problem. I fixed it by going into MDM, click Main->options. Select Megadrum for the MIDI in and out settings. I hope that works.

Thanks......yeah I'm having all kinds of issues......sometimes MDM turns into a JAVA icon on my dock and I'm always having to goto the site to re download it...... it has disappeared a couple times...... i feel like im back to the LOGO class in grade school.

I had the same problem. I fixed it by going into MDM, click Main->options. Select Megadrum for the MIDI in and out settings.

I thought it was quite obvious that you have to configure MDM first to talk to MegaDrum on the right MIDI interfaces. I will add a big splash warning window telling to select right MIDI ports in Main->Options if these ports have not been selected yet.

Without more details "all kinds of issues" appear to be the OS/Java installation issue rather than an MDM issue.

Install issue for sure.........it keeps disappearing from my dock.
