MIDI out via 5 pin DIN instead of USB possible?

No need for modifications, the MD can handle Midi in/out over 5 pin DIN by design.

I thought the current DINs were only for sending and receiving patch dumps? The megadrum I currently have built I only have the USB so I can't test it- does the midi out via DIN as it is now actually send the regular messages as well?
