Everson MD REbuild

Anything at least distantly related to MegaDrum

Hi there!

You said earlier that you got values between 11-13. Is these figures what you see on the MD's related PS screen? No impact if changing the high/low PS levels?

Coming back to the PS issue...did you use 35 or 27 mm type of triggers?

On my implementation the Head trigger is reversed connected on the piezo. The brass part, e.g black cable is the one which is connected to the tip part of the tele plug. Red is for ground.

The rim trigger is connected as usual. This is the Roland way to do it.

I am currently doing some PS test on my CY-15R...it is supporting PS...but I have problems to make it move smooth enough...could be the min scan....

It's a 35mm quartz trigger (their cone, piezo and foamy dst) on my alu crossbar.

Wiring is Alesis type, as far as I remember (I switched from Roland to Alesis a couple of times).

What I just noticed is if I raise the MinScan to ~100, the things start to getting better. But that looks like a very odd/slow minscan setting ...

Min scan set to 100 sounds extremely high...i am using 50.

Just for curiosity...What made you to pick the Alesis/yamaha way to wire the piezos?..(in my case...I am more of a Roland guy...that's why i picked the Roland way...no science behind picking the solution)

Sounds lovely regarding the Triggera China...i am going to buy one!

Best Regards

With the Positional sensing addon board I don't think the polarity of the central piezo has any effect.

Dmitri! Hope everthing is well!

Good to know regarding the polarity. My PS implementation is working extremly good using AD and set the snare to receive on cc16 and use AD's cc sampled drum sound...great!!
