Everson MD REbuild

Anything at least distantly related to MegaDrum

Maybe the crossbar is the problem ...
I wonder what other MD users are using for trigger implementation ... Are there users with successful PS on a crossbar? Or should I try something else?

Or, maybe, I can still try something else regarding MD settings ... dmitri, what do you think?

Can you summarise the problem description?

OK.
My snare settings are:
dyntime = 0
dynlevel = 1
threshold = 1
minscan = 50
The triggering is great, but PS is impossible.
It starts to be better/possible when I raise minscan to ~100.

Do you need more info?

What "raw" values do you see on the LCD when:

1. PositionalLv is set to 1 and hitting the cnetre?
2. PositionalLv is set to 1 and hitting near the rim?
3. PositionalLv is set to 2 and hitting the cnetre?
4. PositionalLv is set to 2 and hitting near the rim?
5. PositionalLv is set to 3 and hitting the cnetre?
6. PositionalLv is set to 3 and hitting near the rim?

1. random notes from 0-3, mostly 0
2. random notes from 0-3, mostly 0
3. random notes from 11-13, mostly 13
4. random notes from 11-13, mostly 13
5. random notes from 13-19
6. random notes from 13-19

I guess by "notes" you meant "raw" positional values you read from the LCD when you were hitting the pad.
The values you get mean MegaDrum doesn't get signals suitable for positional sensing. The main reason is probably unsuitable waveform. It would help to see an oscilloscope reading of the first half-wave on the input when you hit centre and near the rim. Can you do this?

Yes, it's a mistype copy/pasted :) I meant to write "values".

Sure. I'll do whatever it needs. Just let me know what exactly should I do, i.e. how to get that reading?

You need to capture first half-wave of a signal when you hit the pad. There are some PC oscilloscope apps out there which can use a sound card input as a probe.
