The drum sounds were real acoustic sounds or where they triggered by megadrum? it is not clear to me.

I posted a detailed description of this setup somewhere in this forum (maybe in this thread). The drums are always acoustic (you can see the mics) and are all triggered for the electronic sounds (by those round metal triggers on the rims).

In my new setup I'll use B-Band UKKO, which can be used for both acoustic sounds and as the triggers for Megadrum with a slight modification: I had to solder a 10k resistor on all inputs, because MD causes a distortion on the acoustic signal path without having them.

As I promised, I hopefully can post some videos of this new system, too.

So you're mixing/reinforcing the mic'ed drums with the triggered sounds, then? Seems like a popular method for both live and studio these days, most metal bands I've seen lately definitely do this with at least the kick drum when playing live.

Yes, but I never use acoustic drum samples, the triggers are for synthetic sounds only.

Not so much in the studio, because since Drumagog was introduced, there's no need to use triggers any more if you want to replace or complement the acoustic sounds with some samples on a recording. However, triggers are still used
sometimes when recording acoustic drums: they're used to trigger the noise gates to achieve better isolation, which would be impossible by using the mic signals. This technique can be heard on some Metallica recordings for example.
